Es geht wieder los und selten haben wir uns darauf so gefreut wie heuer! Am 1. April ab 14h startet die Strandbar-Saison 2022! Wir haben wieder alles schön gemacht und erwarten euch am Strand von Wien!

Heuer gibt es original thailändisches Streetfood von der Krazy Kitchen!
Vor unserem Strandyoga gibt es eine geführte Meditation von Jutta Mittermayer & Team. Eintritt wie immer frei!
Die Meditation ist darauf ausgerichtet, eine Verbindung zu deiner inneren Kraft herzustellen. Bei regelmäßiger Praxis stärkt diese Meditation dich innerlich und unterstützt dein mentales und emotionales Wohlbefinden.
Mach den Sonnengruss bei der Strandbar! 🧘♂️Die Profis der Wiener Yogaschule sorgen für abwechslungsreiche dynamische Yogastunden. So könnt ihr die Lehrerinnen der Aus- und Weiterbildungen der Wiener Yogaschule besser kennenlernen. Die Session am Strand ist für Anfänger wie für Fortgeschrittene geeignet. Bitte eigene Yogamatte mitbringen 🧘♀️ – Eintritt frei!

Jakobin is the solo project of DJ and producer Georg Nadler. Growing up in the 90s in rural upper Austria, Georg spent his time skateboarding and listening to lots of hip hop before witnessing the halcyon days of the Vienna downbeat era and later being introduced to Austrias club culture. Pursuing his growing passion for collecting vinyl, Georg started spinning his first records in the notorious „Kijani“ in Linz. There he invited Djs like the Vienna Scientists or the one and only Mr. Slack Hippy. After moving to Vienna, Georg had a two year residency alongside future label mate Simon Lebon in the Donau Techno, Vienna’s first adress for Techno music back then. While his gigs at the „Donau Techno“ helped him explore the deeper shades of techno, acid and electro, he also began spinning disco and house records with his long time friend Dominik Huber. Quickly getting immersed in Viennas electronic music scene, the duo started producing and DJing under the Moniker Jakobin & Domino and became founding members of Luv Shack Records in 2011. After a number of successful releases on Luv Shack and several EPs for the legendary Chicago label Large Records, Jakobin & Domino became a staple in the Viennese house scene and played several gigs in Berlin, Paris or Geneva. Recently he also teamed up with his other longtime friend and Artist Peletronic, releasing EPs on Fortunea Records and Hungarian Hot Wax under the Jakobin & Peletronic moniker. Jakobins sound is a testament to years of open minded record collecting, encompassing influences from downbeat, hip hop, techno, disco, house, funk, afro and jazz. His growing collection of analog gear also helped shape his productions as of late, and so it comes as no surprise that his first solo track was picked up by the highly acclaimed Futureboogie recordings in 2020. Since then, his focus is more on more on playing live, representing his own productions exclusively!

Er steht seit fast 40 Jahren hinter den Plattentellern und besitzt eine der bedeutendsten und größten Schallplattensammlungen Österreichs.
Die Strandbar präsentiert ihre Weine und Weinbauern: Wir laden deshalb traditionell einmal im Jahr unsere Weinbauern zur Strandbar ein und diese bringen dafür ein paar gute Tröpferln aus ihrem Weinkeller mit! 🍷 Sie stehen für Lob und Fachsimpeleien im Pavillon bereit und präsentieren ihre Weine zur gefälligen Verkostung! Unkostenbeitrag 25€ pro Person, Anmeldung ist auch noch vor Ort möglich, bitte beim Personal im Pavillon fragen!

Since the mid 80s in the Music Biz I played in many Clubs (Bar 25, Kater Holzig, Kantine, Prater Sauna, Flex, Grelle Forelle, U4, Camera, Meierei, Dom Im Berg, Postgarage, Conrad Sohm, …) & Venues & Partys (Cosmic Space Disco, Wetfishin, Soul Sugar, Gazometer/XXX,…) & Festivals (Sonnenklang, Lovefield/D, UAF, …) & as a Guest at Radioshows in Austria (FM4) and around the World | Producing with Shanti Roots & other Artist | Rating & Charting Music for various Labels & Promocompanys | Organizing, Consulting and Booking for Events and Partys | Social Media Advertisment & Creative Content Creation
It began with Funk & Jazz, Disco, Brasil, Worldmusic, Dub, 70´s German Electronics, Ambient, House, Techno & Trance. Point of interest at the moment: Basshouse & Techhouse & Groove. Various influenced music, different worlds indeed, but very close together and all combinations are possible today, some of them we even haven´t dreamed of. I always try to find the right sound for the location & the people & the mood of the event. Thats what a DJ should take care of with his selection and mixing of music – to create the proper vibes for a event.
Each year more than 30.000 new music titles are released (or re-released) and no matter what your musical appetite is, there are not enough hours in a lifetime to listen to a tiny fraction of the global supply. People will pay simply to have someone recommend the music and present selected material to them in an easy and fun manner. That is why producers, labels, djs and the related ecology of reviewers, catalogers and guides will continue to make a living. At least people will always need selectors.
